PE First Class Feb 2020
Working on our co-ordination and blocking skills..
Today the kids had great fun Drumming with Patrick. They got to experience the basic concepts of African drumming through drumming, chanting, singing, body percussion, call and response and storytelling.
For the next couple of weeks we are doing show and tell in our classroom. The kids bring in something that is important to them and tell the class about it.
There was huge excitement today when Santa visited our school in the Fire Brigade. The children were so happy to see him and were delighted when he gave them all a gift!
So far this year the Green Schools have held 4 meetings on raising awareness for Climate Action Week and Clean Air Week. We also did an appliance audit, put up guzzler posters from SEAI and did up the Green schools notice board.
A huge thank you to Cork’s Game Development Officer Pat Spratt who visited our school today and took every class for football. Everyone had so much fun an we look forward to more fun and games with him in December.
A huge thank you to Mr. Fitzgerald and especially Mrs. Cott who organised playground maths games today for all the classes. It was a huge success and the children loved every minute of it.
We are having so much fun this week. We went on a maths trail in the park. We played roll and colour using dice and we played games on the interactive whiteboard.
Today some of our first class parents came in to play some maths games with us. We all had so much fun! Thank you to our parents for coming in.
A huge thank you to everyone who came on Thursday to our coffee morning. It was a lovely morning and we look forward to doing it again soon.
