We had a fabulous day today. All the boys and girls were dressed up in green and we had our school parade. Ellie-May and Ciara were our Grand Marshals and lead everyone around the school. We were delighted to welcome Kamila’s mom to Room 4 today. As part of the cuddle and read initiative, Kamila’s mom read to the children in her native language, Ukrainian. It was fabulous for the children to hear the story “The Chicken and the Cat” in a different language.
First Class had a great day today marking Seachtain na Gaeilge. We learned the “Seige of Ennis” and also “An Dreoilin” Dances. It was so much fun!! As part of our Read and Raise fundraiser and it being World Book Week, we teamed up with St. Anne’s Primary School where their pupils read books to our pupils. It was a fabulous initiative and everyone enjoyed it!!

We had a great day in school celebrating World Book Day! The kids dressed up in fabulous costumes as their favourite book characters. We read and listened to lots of books throughout the day. We also visited the local library. It was a great day!!
